CrossFit Progression is an official CrossFit® affiliate based in Rochester, Minnesota.  Since our doors first opened in 2009, we have seen our community grow to over 200 people representing a variety of ages and abilities. No matter what your athletic background or current level of fitness, you are welcome here.

What is a typical class?

At CrossFit Progression,  workouts (WODs) are most often completed within group classes, with a head coach, and a couple of assistant coaches assisting larger classes. This provides you with the attention from the trainers that is necessary for your safety and success. Classes are instructor-led and peer-driven, providing an excellent mixture of individual coaching and group motivation.

We begin our classes with a series of mobility and cardio exercises that we all do together.  Then the coaches take you through an explanation of the WOD, demonstrating each movement to ensure safety and to check for understanding. Then it’s 3-2-1- GO! and you’re off.

Workouts are constantly varied and unique, ensuring that you always make progress. We combine elements of boot camp workouts, gymnastics (especially rings and floor work), Olympic weightlifting, rowing, and running. (Yes, we sometimes run outside in the below-zero temperatures of our Rochester winters!) Some workouts are done for time, others for maximum number of reps. Any way you slice it, you’ll be working hard!
